Kathryn's story
Kathryn studied at Edinburgh College of Art as part of the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2018 with a First Class Honours Degree in Jewellery & Silversmithing.
After graduating she returned home to the North Coast of Northern Ireland and set up her small business on the family farm. Her work is hugely inspired by the wee place that she calls ‘home’, taking inspiration from the farm she grew up on the stunning North Coast of Northern Ireland.
Her creations
Ever since 2018 Kathryn’s small business has continued to grow and in 2021, she began working full time as Kathryn Reid Jewellery when her pieces gained a lot of attention through social media. Ever since then she has continued to grow, selling her pieces exclusively on her website and shipping her pieces globally.
She specialises in the detailed skill of wax carving, creating miniature wearable sculptures that are full of story and meaning. Check out Kathryn’s shop to view her most recent collections.

North Coast Collection
Inspired by the stunning coastline of Northern Ireland. Kathryn created her own steel tools to create the unique rocky and wavy textures within this collection.
Ear Tag Collection
Having grown up on a predominantly cattle and sheep farm, Kathryn created her best-selling Ear Tag Collection, inspired by the yellow ‘tags’ they wore on their ears.
Nose Ring Collection
Kathryn hand carved each animal nose to create her best-selling Nose Ring Collection. She created this collection to tell fond memories of the animals she grew up with on her family farm.
cracked collection
Free range chickens were recently introduced to Kathryn’s farm. Fascinated by them, she explored the shape and nature of the egg to create the Cracked Collection in sterling silver and gold.
